Dental Veneers in Inverness, Florida

Dental veneers are a popular option for improving the overall appearance of one’s smile. They are thin, custom-made shells that are applied to the front surface of a person’s teeth to mask noticeable imperfections.

An added bonus of veneers is that they provide immediate results, and patients who receive veneers do not have to deal with any lengthy recovery periods.

Gulf Coast Dental Associates offers options for traditional, porcelain and composite veneers for patients. Our experts are happy to help any patient determine the best type of veneers for their needs.

Any patient who receives veneers will need to make at least two visits to our practice. During the first visit, a patient will have impressions taken of their teeth. The impressions will then be forwarded to a dental laboratory so that a custom set of veneers can be built. Once the veneers are ready, the patient will return for their follow-up visit to have the veneers fitted and secured. All of the materials used in our veneers are of the highest quality, and they are designed to provide the most natural-looking result possible. They are also stain-resistant, so patients won’t have to worry about their veneers becoming discolored because of exposure to certain drinks or tobacco products.

When applying veneers, we start by removing a small amount of the patient’s tooth enamel and roughening the outer surfaces of the teeth designated for treatment. This helps ensure that the veneers can bond and fit properly. We will then apply the veneers and secure them using a dental-grade adhesive. Patients who have received veneers can continue to care for their teeth as normal; however, they should avoid abrasive toothpaste and hard-bristled toothbrushes, as they may scrape away at the veneers.

Cosmetic dentistry has helped countless patients improve their smiles. A visit to Gulf Coast Dental Associates is the first step. Please call us at (352) 344-4747 to schedule an appointment.
